Meet the team
I graduated in 1997 and have worked at Armour Vet Group ever since, becoming a partner in 1999. During this time I have seen the business grow from a 2 vet to a 4.5 vet practice. I have a keen interest in dairy cow fertility and mastitis investigation, however being part of a mixed practice also allows me to continue my interests in small animal surgery. In my spare time I run a small farm which consists of a flock of pedigree Blue Faced Leicesters and some pedigree Beef Shorthorn cows. Any other spare time is spent with my wife and 4 kids.
I graduated in 1999 and have worked in Ayrshire ever since. I began work at Armour Vet Group in 2006 and became a partner in 2008. I enjoy all aspects of my job but especially enjoy dairy cow nutrition and lameness issues in cows. Outwith work I return home to my parents’ farm in Renfrewshire where I also have a small herd of pedigree Blonde cattle which I enjoy showing and also doing some judging when asked. Golfing is also a past-time of mine playing locally at Ballochmyle.
I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in July 2008 and have been with the practice since then. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine and especially enjoy the wide variety that mixed practice brings. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, socialising with friends and walking the dog in the Ayrshire countryside.
I am originally from a small farm in Southern Ireland and joined Armour Vet Group in August 2012. I have settled in well acquiring a nice Ayrshire accent! I enjoy all aspects of my work especially farm animal medicine. Outwith work I can often be found contemplating going golfing, fishing or socialising with friends.
I have been with the practice since it first opened in 1978. I enjoy going to the theatre, concerts and tv show filmings. Among my favourites are John Barrowman and Barry Manilow and I often travel as far as London to see them perform.
I have worked at Armour Vet Group for over 20 years now. When not at work I am kept busy providing a taxi service for our three children and as a family we enjoy weekends away.
I started work at the practice in March 2012. Married to a local farmer, it feels like I am semi-retired now that my family of 3 have all flown the nest. Previous employment has been quite solitary so thoroughly enjoying this job with such a fun, friendly, helpful bunch!
I started work with the practice in October 2011 and mainly work at the farm services office in Kilmarnock. I enjoy walks on the beach and spending time with my sister. I have recently rescued a young Jack Russell. She definitely keeps me on my toes!
